ORDER OF MERCY - GENERAL CHAPTER - Rome 2022

TRANSLATION:

This Monday morning, we began the day centered on God with the celebration of the Eucharist. The Mass was led and presided  over by the Province of Brazil. Fathers Friar John Londerry, Friar Reginaldo Luiz and Friar Jociel de Carvalho encouraged us to continue placing our lives in the hands of God, who, as the Good Shepherd, guides and leads the journey of his children.

Once gathered in the chapter hall, we had a morning of formation and reflection led by the Secretary of the Dicastery for Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, His Excellency Bishop José Rodriguez Carballo OFM., who invited us to continue living and ordering our Mercedarian life according to the significance that our consecration and mission has in today's world.

During the evening session, the chapter members met to seek and work on the specific objectives and initiatives for each of the areas that structure our Order of Mercy.

Let us continue supporting this  meeting in the prayerful communion that allows us to continue moving forward in the chapter, seeking the will of God, serving Mary our mother, who asks us to Do whatever he tells [us].
