If your child is in 2nd Grade, he/she will be automaticall enrolled in the First Penance/First Communion Class. Fr. Matthew will host 5 to 6 classes in preparation for these Sacraments. In addition, he will require the completion of the CatechismClass.com
Capstone Lessons for Sacramental [or an equivelent exam] preparation (IN ADDITION TO their grade level religious education, which may be completed in Catholic School, in a program at home, or through the participation in a grade-level CatechismClass.com course.) There will be a fee in order to reimburse the parish for the Lessons as well as the activity and retreat fees.
Many families have their children in Catholic School or Home School, and therefore provide for their child's "Grade Level Religious Education" outside of the parish, whereas others have chosen to participate in the CatechismClass.com curriculum through the parish account.
